What does an Engineer, a Realtor, a Police Officer, an Aviation Pilot, a Video Productions CEO, and an Author all have in common?
They are people with titles who belong to the The PERCH community.
The Perch Community is not for everyone...
It’s for individuals who believe they could be doing something differently.
These are our community values...
Building a community of trust means that we act with integrity and confidence, respecting one another’s privacy and boundaries. We earn trust by being trustworthy, owning up to mistakes, and always being honest.
Everyone is welcome and embraced in this community. We show respect through courteous interactions, treating each other as capable, knowledgeable, and competent, always remembering that we’re speaking to a person – not just a profile picture.
We have fun! A foundation of trust and respect allows everyone to let loose and lighten the mood when we need to, knowing that we’ve built a safe and kind community.
When you join us you will take part in:
Once a month, join a call with Dan Cockerell and the rest of the Perch Community. This is your chance to ask about any challenge you have, share your wins, and get input on opportunities. The informal format of these calls allows the group to get to know each other and flow into a natural conversation about career, life, and helping each other.
Monthly Interest Group Calls led by Dan Cockerell, Jody Maberry, Lee Kitchen, and Jeff Barnes
Interest groups include Leadership & Management, Entrepreneurship, Self Development, and Creativity & Innovation. Join in on any or all of the calls. With each call, you will get 30 minutes of instruction on a specific topic and 30 minutes of discussion. All calls are recorded, so you never miss out on an opportunity to learn.
A Growing Community
One of the most rewarding aspects of the Perch Community is the people you will meet. You will develop new friendships with people from diverse backgrounds, careers, and interests. It’s always celebrated in the community when two members get to meet in real life. As the community grows, so will your connections to new people, industries, and ideas.

Meet Dan Cockerell
Dan Cockerell has held various management and executive operations roles at the Walt Disney World Resort, both in them parks and resort hotels. In a story that seems written by Walt Disney himself, Dan rose, literally, from the parking lot to the castle. Dan began working as a front desk host while participating in the Disney College Program, then parking cars following his graduation from Boston University. Transferred to Disneyland Paris in 1992, Dan got his first management role. Throughout a 26career with Disney, Dan rose through the ranks to eventually become only the 6th person to hold the title of Vice President of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
Dan’s experience leading a team of 12,000 cast members, who entertain millions of guests every year, solidified his belief that building relationships are critical for leadership success. He now brings his wealth of Disney knowledge and experience to organizations around the world to help them create a world-class customer experience and operational excellence.
